Amazon has officially partnered with TikTok, making it easier for Amazon customers to shop on the social media platform. Some foreign media even reported that this large-scale cooperation also marks a "new era of content creation".
In the announcement of this partnership, TikTok also explained how this social commerce service would be used:
- Users will see Amazon product recommendations in the "ForYou" push. When ready to purchase, they can link their TikTok account to their Amazon account through a one-time setup.
- Once the account is linked, Amazon customers can complete the shopping checkout process within the product advertisement without leaving the TikTok app, thus achieving a faster and smoother experience.
- Users who choose to link their Amazon US account will see real-time pricing, Prime eligibility, shipping estimates, and product details in TikTok's featured Amazon product ads.
- Users can choose to cancel their linked Amazon account at any time in the TikTok app settings.
